# Account & Pricing

> How Sonto is priced, and why there's no account to create

## No Sonto account

Sonto doesn't have its own accounts. You don't create a login, and you don't hand over an email address.
Your data lives in your own [iCloud](/reference/sync) and syncs through it, so the only "account"
involved is your Apple Account. See [Privacy & Data](/reference/privacy-and-data).

## Free to try

Sonto is **free to try**, with every feature unlocked from the start — you're never locked out of part
of the app while you decide whether it's for you.

A paid upgrade is a way to support Sonto — it's made by one independent developer, with no ads and no
investors behind it. Upgrading also removes the occasional reminder to upgrade, so you can stay in your
flow. Every feature is already yours; paying is about backing the app you rely on and keeping your
experience nudge-free.

## Restoring a purchase

If you upgrade and later sign in on another device — or reinstall Sonto — use **Restore Purchases** to
bring your upgrade across. Because purchases are tied to your Apple Account, there's nothing else to
recover.

## Availability

Sonto is available on **Mac** and **iPhone** from the App Store. A purchase applies across your devices
on the same Apple Account.
