Text size
Sonto can render everything smaller or larger, independently of your system text size.- Mac
- iPhone & iPad
Open
Settings → General and drag the Text size slider. There are five steps: Small,
Standard, Large, Extra Large and Huge. Standard is the default. The whole interface scales with it, not just the text — rows, spacing and the sidebar grow
together, so nothing crowds. You can also change it without opening Settings, from the View menu: Zoom In
(Cmd + +), Zoom Out (Cmd + −) and
Actual Size (Cmd + 0) to go back to Standard.Settings and the Backup & Import window deliberately stay at your system text size. Both are fixed-size
windows, so they’d have nowhere to grow.
VoiceOver
Sonto works with VoiceOver on Mac, iPhone and iPad. A task reads as a single item — its name, state, schedule and tags in one pass, rather than as a scattering of separate controls. From there, VoiceOver’s actions give you everything the… menu
gives a sighted user:
- Complete the task, or toggle it in progress.
- Quick-schedule it.
- Move Up, Move Down, Move to Top, Move to Bottom — reordering without dragging.
- Delete it.
Overdue, a named group, or the main
task list. Headings are marked up as headers, so you can jump between them with the rotor. Calendar
events read with their details and can be opened or acted on directly.
Sonto also speaks up when something happens out of view: when a task you’ve just completed can be
un-completed by activating its checkbox again, when a bulk move, schedule or delete finishes and how
many tasks it touched, and when a planning session moves to its next step.
These announcements are separate from Sonto’s sound effects — you’ll hear them even with sounds
turned off in
Settings → General.Switch Control and Voice Control
Sonto’s core screens name and label their controls, which is what Switch Control and Voice Control need to reach them. That includes the ones that are easy to miss: the checkbox, the weekday picker in a repeating task, the panel controls on Mac, and the action bar on iPhone.System settings Sonto respects
