This page is a map of what you can adjust in Sonto. Open Settings from the Sonto menu on Mac, or the settings entry on iPhone. Settings are specific to each device — they don’t sync.

General

  • Sync status — see whether iCloud sync is healthy, in progress, or stalled. See Sync.
  • App appearance, including dark mode (which can follow your system setting).

Tasks

  • Global hotkeys — two custom, system-wide hotkeys for adding a task to your inbox or to today, even when Sonto is in the background. See Quick capture.

Calendar

  • Calendar access — grant Sonto access to your device’s calendars, and choose which to show. See Calendar.
  • Working hours — the hours Sonto treats as available when it auto-schedules a task.
  • Default event duration — the length of a time block Sonto creates (30 minutes by default).

Planning

  • Planning reminders — when Sonto nudges you to plan your day and week, as both an in-app prompt and a system notification. See Notifications & Reminders.

AI

  • MCP server — connect AI tools to Sonto, with read-only or read-and-write access. See Connect to AI Agents.

Backups

Automatic and manual backups live in the Manage Data window rather than Settings. See Manage Data.

Availability

Settings exist on both Mac and iPhone, but some options — global hotkeys, working hours, the MCP server, and Manage Data — are Mac-only.
