What you can share
Whatever you share becomes a new task in your Inbox. Before it’s saved you can edit its name and notes.- Text — becomes the task’s name; longer text is shortened for the name and kept in full in the notes.
- A link — the task is named after the page’s title, and the link goes in its notes. If the app you share from sends only the address, Sonto looks up the title; until it has it, the site’s name shows.
- Images and files — up to 10 at once. They become one task with every file attached, named after the shared title or text, or else after the first file. Each file can be up to 10 MB; folders and larger files are left out, and Sonto tells you which.
Sharing to Sonto on the Mac
Enabling the extension
On Mac, you have to manually enable the Share Extension before you can use it. OpenSystem Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions.
Scroll down to Extensions and click By Category. Then click on the next to Sharing.
In the list, find Sonto and toggle it on.

In any app that supports Share Extensions, open the Share menu and click Sonto.

On iOS things are a little easier since we don’t need to enable the extension; it is always on. Just open an app that supports sharing, tap the share icon, and find Sonto in the list of apps. When Sonto is not shown immediately, tapMore and look for Sonto in the resulting list.
