Sonto’s widgets keep your tasks in view without opening the app. Tick tasks off right from the widget, or tap one to jump to it in Sonto.

Add a widget

  • Home Screen — touch and hold an empty area, tap the + in the corner, search for Sonto, pick a size, and add it.
  • Lock Screen — touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customise, choose the widget area, and add a Sonto widget.

The Lists widget

The Lists widget shows the tasks still to do in one list, with the number left in its header.

Choose a list and the plus button

Touch and hold the widget and tap Edit Widget — on Mac, right-click it — to change two settings:

Using the widget

  • Tick a checkbox to complete a task without opening Sonto.
  • Tap a task to open Sonto with that task highlighted.
  • Tap the header to open the list in Sonto.
  • Tap + to open Sonto with a new task ready to type, in the list you chose under Plus Button. A task added to This Week or Next Week is planned for the week, not a particular day.
The small widget has no + button, and tapping a task there opens the list rather than the task.

Lock Screen and Control Centre

On iPhone and iPad, two more widgets fit the Lock Screen:
  • Today’s progress — a gauge of how much of today you’ve completed. Tap it to open Today.
  • Add task — opens Sonto with a new task in your Inbox, ready to type. It’s also a control you can add to Control Centre.

Availability

The Lists widget is available on iPhone, iPad and Mac. The Lock Screen widgets and the Control Centre control are on iPhone and iPad only.

Screens

The Inbox, Day and Week screens the widget shows.
